Miscellaneous papers, 1893-1900.

Materials, from two accessions, which describe the activities of a group formed in support of a Stuart restoration to the throne of England. Collection contains letters from Alfred John Rodwaye, head of the North American branch of the movement, to Ralph Adams Cram, a member, and William Coolidge Lane, Athenaeum librarian. Printed items include broadsides, pamphlets and membership applications. A number of items commemorate the execution of Charles I.

In 1887 Cram joined with Charles Wentworth to open an architectural office (Cram and Wentworth) in Boston. In 1891 Bertram G. Goodhue joined them. Shortly thereafter Wentworth died and the firm became Cram, Goodhue & Ferguson, which it remained until 1910 when Goodhue left to form his own firm in New York.
